CISMM offers a variety of ways to learn about our activities and tools for biomedical science. These include workshops at UNC, other centers and national conferences, courses at UNC and informal education installations at regional museums and science centers.

If you aren’t able to see us at a workshop or meeting, please view our online tutorials for CISMM-sponsored software.

2010 Workshop in Force Measurement and Manipulation in Biological Microscopy (May 2010)

CISMM will have a booth at the American Society for Cell Biology’s annual meeting December 5-9 2009 in San Diego.  There will be staff and students on hand to train attendees in the use of our software.  Bring your data sets!

Past Training Appearances:

“User Evaluation during Development” was one of three presentations in a SIGGRAPH 2009 half-day course The Whys, How tos, and Pitfalls of User Studies.  The presentation by Mary Whitton drew heavily on lessons learned evaluating the Distributed nanoManipulator system that was developed with funding from a supplement to the primary CISMM grant. (Aug. 3, 2009)
